Job Summary
Cath Lab Tech @ MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center
Shift: 0700-4:30PM 4 x 9 days M-F
Total pay - $3272 - 3632/week
Taxable pay (W2) - $45-55/hr
Non-taxable housing stipends - $1050/week
Non-taxable meals & incidentals stipends - $602/week
 

• Requirements:
  - BLS
  - ACLS
  - ARRT
  - MD Board of Physicians certified
• - 2 years of experience required with Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement/Removal, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Right heart catheterization, and Temporary Pacemaker
  - Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, interventional radiology and special procedures experience preferred ; ep lab skills preferred to include insertion and programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion and cardiac ablation
  - must have experience with Accurate monitoring, Equipment set up, Perform EKG lead placement, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Room circulator, Scrub- maintain sterile field, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) with procedural Skills Preferred: Isolation Precautions, Use of Rapid Response team
  - 1 prior travel assignment required

  Unit Ratio: 5 Cases/Day
  Patient population: Adults, Geriatrics
  Scrubs: provided by unit, color ceil blue

Must have 1 prior travel assignment

• Two (2) Supervisor references required
• Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
