Description

customers, and we’re proud to set the standard for success in our industry. To help us continue
growing, we’re seeking an experienced director of operations to join a highly skilled team. The
ideal candidate will have senior management experience in a dynamic setting and ability to take
charge of driving strong business benchmarks, federal contracting supervision, team building,
and overall organizational growth. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of building KPIs,
compliance matrices and a thorough understanding of federal contracting, SCA and GSA
(General Services Administration) processes.

The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability
to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The director of operations will work
closely with senior leadership to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels
of productivity and success for the company.

Objectives of this role

  • Collaborate with senior managers in the development of performance goals and long- term operational plans
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration
  • Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity
  • Work with project managers in the development of financial and budgetary plans
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives
  • Set and drive strong business benchmarks, focusing on achieving organizational goals and objectives.
  • Lead Aerobodies' efforts in obtaining and maintaining ISO 9000 and/or CMMC certifications.
  • Manage relationships with GSA and other federal agencies to ensure compliance and successful contracting.
  • Stay up to date with federal regulations and industry trends and provide guidance on leveraging opportunities in the federal market.

 

  • Manage implementation of new and existing product and service launches.
  • Assist in formulating business strategies and tactics to drive growth and expand market reach.
  • Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with objectives and timely execution.
  • Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
  • Devise strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and standards, and ensure that laws and regulations are being followed
  • Work closely with Human Resources to lead the team with integrity and to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment

Required skills and qualifications

  • Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in a field related to federal and commercial contract industries
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance,customer service, production, and employee management
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Masters’ degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes

 

  • Demonstrated experience in driving strong business benchmarks and achieving organizational growth overseeing the launch of new programs and services in development by Subject Matter Experts within the organization.
  • Knowledgeable understanding of compliance standards such as ISO 9000 and/or CMMC standards, with a track record of successful certification.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal contracting processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Proven experience in team building, leadership, and talent acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex federal concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate challenges and drive successful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with GSA procedures and contracting mechanisms.
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: SAP, ERP, CRM)
