Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications: Candidate is required to have at minimum a Bachelors (B.S.) degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field and 5 years of experience working in a laboratory.
• A Masters (M.S.) degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field is desirable and may be used to substitute for experience.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Functional Responsibility: The Medical Technologist IV will conduct medical technology services in a laboratory setting, to include the establishment of procedures and maintenance of a laboratory unit, and the performance of laboratory tests, and other related duties as assigned.
• They may perform the most difficult and advanced tests, examinations and analysis in one or more specialized fields of medical technology and assist in the general operation of a large laboratory.
• This worker may perform routine moderate complexity tests  according to established procedures in addition to evaluate raw and final data for accuracy, recognize and correct errors and unusual results, identify source/nature of errors and make appropriate recommendations as to course of action.
• They may also recommend measures to improve testing procedures and use of equipment and perform other functions as required by management.
