Description

Aerobodies requires Instructors for the Comprehensive Health and Wellness (CHW) training and the First Line Leader (FLL) training, which includes the planning and execution of trainings for state, regional and national training activities.

The programs teach leadership skills that help facilitate relational leadership to peers and subordinates alike. The curriculum will enable leaders to effectively communicate and assist subordinates in all dimensions of Total Health to include financial, physical, emotional, intellectual, occupational spiritual, social and environmental wellness. Leaders will be trained on how to identify issues/concerns/risk factors and warning signs and to make appropriate referrals to resources available through J9 - Service Member and Family Support, other DoD, federal, state and local
resources such as Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Tricare, Military OneSource (MOS), Tailored Prevention Teams, the State Surgeon’s Office, the Integrated Behavioral Health Team, Strong Bonds trainings, Employment Support, Financial Counseling, etc.

This program is designed primarily to help build foundational leadership skills to develop highly cohesive teams.

Serves as a trainer and coordinates support for the comprehensive health and wellness trainings, to include Total Health and Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or demonstrated practical experience in the area(s) of program development, human development, organizational leadership, relational leadership, military culture, counseling, and program management. demonstrated capability in program/project coordination applications, with (3) years’ experience in a discipline centered on education, human development, public health, or social science.
  • Possess additional Army/Air Guard experience/knowledge related to the requirements of the Task Order.
  • Knowledge of the principles, policies, program goals and methodology of Services to include Army and Air Service Member and Family Programs as necessary. Knowledge of such programs is desired, but not mandatory.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license and a personally owned vehicle that can be utilized.
  • Work may vary. An uncommon tour of duty may be required.   Flexibility with working schedule is mandatory because it impacts the ability to support and serve military.
  • Travel is anticipated for training and travel expenses associated with this position. Travel will include regional and national to support mobile training team events. The CHW Lead Instructor should expect to support training conducted in Wisconsin. CHW/FLL Instructors and CHW Lead Instructor will be expected to travel to support trainings conducted in other states.
 
Scheduling Details:
  • Place and Performance of Services:  Provide services between the hours of 0800-1630 on Monday through Friday, except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government-directed facility/installation closings; occasional weekend work may be required.  Performance will be nationwide (trainings in Ohio, Wisconsin, Florida, Oklahoma, Idaho, South Dakota, Virgin Islands, Connecticut, Iowa, Montana, Virginia and other states TBD) and primary duty locations.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Plan, execute, and teach CHW/FLL training programs:
  • Plan, schedule, execute, and instruct CHW/FLL trainings within the state, regionally and nationally – at a minimum (locations tentative and subject to change):
  • a CHW Executive Leader Course (1.5 day course) – eight 8 per year (locations -
  • Ohio, Wisconsin, Idaho, Florida, Oklahoma, Virgin Islands, Connecticut, and Virginia)
  • CHW Leader Course (5 day course) – eight (8) per year (locations - Ohio,
  • Wisconsin, Idaho, Florida, Oklahoma, Virgin Islands, Connecticut, and Virginia)
  • CHW Basic Course (14 day course) – four (4) per year (locations - Oklahoma, Florida, Idaho, and Wisconsin (subject to change)).
  • FLL Course (2 day course) – 10-20 per year (locations – Wisconsin, Oklahoma,Montana, South Dakota, and the following sites in Idaho: Post Falls, Pocatello, Twin Falls, Lewiston, and multiple courses in Boise (subject to change)).
  • Communicate organizational and program needs for CHW/FLL training programs.
  • Manage master calendar of trainings.
  • Manage program information for CHW/FLL course/workbook :
  • Identify program needs of geographically dispersed military installations and
  • develop action steps to provide them the resources they need to facilitate
  • program/training.
  • Develop government approved distribution lists to send program information.
  • Attend all meetings (as needed), present at trainings/presentations and reports as needed or directed.
  • Provide monthly activity reports to NGB and job activity log.
  • Provide monthly documents and reports that are accurate and meet suspense of the 1 st of each month 98% of the time.
Communication:
  • Attend all meetings, present trainings and reports as needed.
  • Participate in Team meetings and/or conference calls.
  • Expansion and Continuity of CHW, FLL and Total Health (H2F) Programs:
  • Develop support program and training assistance for CHW.
  • Develop Instructor Guides and assistance for CHW, FLL, and Total Health as needed.
  • Develop follow-on Leadership Development support program for FLL and Total Health (H2F) training.
  • Maintain and create support plan for current training, POC list is accurate and current.
  • Provide all training materials needed or as required.
