Job Summary

OR SA First Assist -Robotics- 36HRS DAY

Skills Required: DaVinci Xi Robotics Experience, Acute Inpatient OR, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Electrosurgical units, Fiber optic light sources/cords, Suturing all wound layers including muscle and fascia, Tying/ligating clamped vessels or tissues, Wound dressing; liquid or spray occlusive, Aseptic Technique

Surgery Cases Required:
General Cases REQ: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon resection, Hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, Laparoscopic assisted procedures, Whipple

GYN Cases Req: Abdominal hysterectomy, Anterior/Posterior repair, Laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, Vaginal Hysterectomy

Robotics Cases Req: Da Vinci Xi Surgical System, Cardiothoracic robotic surgery, Colorectal Robotic Surgery, Gastrointestinal robotic surgery, Transplant robotic surgery, Gynecologic robotic surgery, TORS (TransOral Robotic Surgery), Urologic robotic surgery

Thoracic Cases Req: Lung resection, Laparoscopic assisted cases, Thoracotomy, VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery)

Transplant Cases Req: Kidney, Liver
Urology Case Req: Laparoscopic assisted cases, Nephrectomy, Prostatectomy

Skills preferred:
Certs Required: BLS, CSFA

Avg Daily Census: 60 Cases per day
31 Rooms
Ratio: 1:1
Patient Age group: Adults
Scrub Color Blue

The facility will only approve 3 days off

Pay
$1728 Weekly

• Two (2) Supervisor references required
• Return Staff Policy If a nurse has held previous employment with Medstar, must be gone a minimum of 1 year to return as a traveler.
